LAKE COMO ELOPEMENT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

ELOPEMENT WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT

Theory first: what an elopement wedding is

It is easy to explain: an elopement is a wedding with just the two of you, with no guests and no friends travelling with you.
If you need witnesses for the ceremony, they can be found on the spot (more than once, I have been both photographer and witness…).
If your own witnesses share the journey with you, or a few guests join you, it is no longer an elopement – and each case calls for a different storytelling approach from the photographer.

Elopement on Lake Como: the two options

For elopements, I bring you in-depth knowledge of the lake, its culture and its heritage. Its history begins with traces of the Celts and Roman remains, and continues, in sublime beauty and stories, to the present day.
My itineraries are designed for a deep and fascinating exploration of the area. That means more than the famous villas on the lakeshore: all of them are private, and only some can be visited, for a fee.
With me you can explore further, admiring unknown landscapes, hidden villages and unusual views while you are being photographed.
You can choose between a half-day and a full-day photoshoot.

Elopement: what it looks like

On a half-day photoshoot, we explore local culture and history along the lakeside roads in my car. For the best lake views and the full “lake experience”, you can also book a water taxi.
A full-day photoshoot takes us further: up into remarkable, little-known mountains with their typical villages and ruins, which cannot be seen from the shore.
Some places are almost forgotten, but I can take you there so that you can explore them at your ease.
What you see here is a selection from a full-day photoshoot with two photographers, €2,970, taken at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Villa Sola Cabiati (Tremezzina) and all around Lake Como. At the couple’s request, each colour image also had its black and white conversion.

INVESTMENT GUIDE

FULL-DAY PHOTOSHOOT (6–10 hours, two photographers)
€2,970

FULL-DAY PHOTOSHOOT (6–10 hours, one photographer)
€1,970

HALF-DAY PHOTOSHOOT (1–5 hours, two photographers)
€2,470

HALF-DAY PHOTOSHOOT (1–5 hours, one photographer)

NB: the investment is not calculated by the hour.
It opens a storytelling project with me and reserves the day; the hours shown are the maximum time I am at your disposal. A one-hour photoshoot carries the same investment as a five-hour one.

FAQ
– Two photographers for the two of us?
– Yes: higher-quality storytelling, without a doubt!

That said, I am only a photographer, but I do have one superpower. Subject only to my availability, I offer “insurance” against the weather: if it rains, we can move the day. (This is possible only if I have no other booking that day; bear in mind, too, that you need at least four days to discover the lake, so I suggest booking the photoshoot on the first day, or at least on the second.)

Lake Como can be wonderful in any weather, provided the storytelling plan is built on the right concept, but not everyone loves rain. With my method, wandering through the lanes around the lake or across its steep meadows in the rain can become a creative, unconventional mood; on a water taxi, though, no raindrop is welcome.
Every season has its own charm here, and each couple finds the one that suits them best for exploring and for a visual record of their time together.

All this can happen, and along the way you will receive genuinely cinematic storytelling of the two of you and your love, in the wonderful setting of this spectacular place. Yes, that is right: you explore beautiful places, and you take home photographs of yourselves in breathtaking locations.

So here we are: I am ready to become your photographer in Italy!
All the best,

Luca
